Arrive in Bishkek
Arrive in Bishkek. You'll be picked up at the airport and brought to our hotel, then in the evening we unite for an intimate welcome dinner at a traditional Kyrgz restaurant.
Bishkek to Bokonbaevo
A drive peppered with adventures! We'll get to watch their traditional horse game, Kok Boru, hike a spectacular canyon and take walks through dramatic scenery. We overnight at a glamping yurt camp.Â
Bokonbaevo to Son Kul LakeÂ
Son Kul is the gem of Kyrgyzstan! A vast alpine lake at 3000 meters, surrounded by mountains and meadows, replete with herds of horses and goats. The drive takes us through incredible scenery and when we arrive we'll horseback along the lake (beginners very welcomed!!). We'll have a very authentic nomadic yurt experience.Â
Off the grid at Son KulÂ
This is my favorite part of the trip. Wild, free and offline. We have a whole day at the lake to do yoga, hike, horseback ride, swim, rest and enjoy yurt life.Â
Son Kul to KochkorÂ
Once again driving through vistas so incredible that your jaw falls on the floor. We'll slowly make our way back down the mountain, stopping for a waterfall hike along the way, to a homestyle guesthouse for dinner, relaxing and overnight.Â
Kol Ukok and Koltor LakesÂ
Turquoise lakes so magical that you think you're in a fairytale! We'll hike, have a picnic lunch, and then the choice of either a longer hike to another alpine lake or resting and dreaming along the shores of Kol Ukok until we head back to Kochkor for dinner and overnight.Â
Kochkor to KelsuuÂ
Horseback riding and yoga at another alpine lake, with dinner and overnight in a traditional yurt camp.Â
Eagle Hunters
Witness the ancient dance of the eagle hunters. We sit in quiet reverence of the primal bond between spirit and sky, learning to soar inwardly as the golden raptors take flight over the jagged ridges.
Back to Bishkek
We'll meander our way back to the city, stopping at fairytale canyons that feel like the American West on psychedelics and a majestic Silk Road monument t
Farewell, Central AsiaÂ
You'll most likely be leaving Kyrgyzstan with smelly clothes, a delightfully achy body, thousands of photos and maybe a fun souvenir like an eagle feather or a bag of sheep knees (which is all I brought back last time!).Â

Rooms and yurts are shared, sometimes 2 per room or yurt, and sometimes 3 or 4 in the yurts. All meals and local transport included.Â

This trip is for open minded folks who aren't afraid of an unhinged adventure. Roads are bumpy, wifi is sparse, bathrooms are an adventure of their own.Â

The rewards for embracing the wild are pretty spectacular: night skies crowded with stars, mountains that seem to go on forever, fireside meals, ancient traditions, enormous open skies and the kind of silence you can actually feel.Â
