Rockin The Kasbah!

Marrakech Retreat

November 11-18, 2023

Marrakech is an explosion of colors and scents, intoxicating and wild. You'll meet spice sellers, snake charmers and artisans. You'll visit palaces, museums and secret gardens. You'll hike to waterfalls in the snow capped Atlas mountains. The call to prayer that rings over the rooftops, the incense perfumed air, the particular shades of red and blue that you don't see anywhere else, the evenings spent telling stories over glass after glass of Moroccan mint tea... you'll remember these things long after the trip is over.

This will be my 8th time taking folks to Marrakech and it just keeps getting better and better!

All of my trips are designed to offer adventure, but also rest and relief. There's a good balance doing and not doing (and all activities including yoga are optional). Sharing the places that I love with others is my greatest joy, and Marrakech has my heart. I will introduce you to my friends, guide you through the labyrinth of magical alleyways, show you where the best food is and so much more!

The Secret Magic Of Bali

Adventure + Yoga + Culture

TWO TRIPS IN 2022!!

February 18-25 and April 8-15, 2023

The Island of the Gods. There's no place like it on Earth, and I will show you the very best of this magical place.

I've been going to Bali, staying in the same hotel with the same staff, for 20 years. At this point Bali is my second home and the people you will meet are like family. Introducing people to my favorite place in the world is my greatest joy! We don't do touristy Bali. We go to magical, off-the-beaten-path Bali.

We'll do yoga in a marble temple overlooking the hibiscus trees, listening to the birds. You'll enjoy a good balance of exploring and relaxing. There will be temples, massages, swimming, gourmet food, hiking and so much beauty you won't believe your eyes.

7 nights accommodation with daily breakfast/brunch

** A NOTE ABOUT THE FLIGHT**

Yes, it is a long journey, and that's part of what makes this trip so wonderful. You are on the other side of the world and the perspective shift that comes with that is incomparable. Here is what I suggest...

Leave the states on a night or early morning flight to Asia. You'll change planes in a major hub like Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Guangzhou, Dubai etc. Usually there's a short layover (3-6 hours) in which to eat and explore at the airport, then you'll catch a shorter flight to Bali. The first flight is generally 12-15 hours, most of it overnight when you'll hopefully be sleeping, and the second flight is usually 5-7 hours. I promise it's not as bad as you think!! Because of the 12 hour time difference, it will feel like it takes longer to get there than it does. Plan to leave two days before the retreat begins, to account for the time difference and the travel time.

Here's an example of what I often do: I leave my house on a Wednesday evening to go to the airport. I take a flight to Hong Kong (or another Asian hub) leaving the airport around 2am (so technically Thursday). I arrive in Bali in the early afternoon on Friday, rested and ready to go after sleeping on the plane.

I'm very happy to travel with anywho is doesn't want to go alone! We can arrange our flights together if you want to join me.
